ARTIST BIO

Olivia Drumm is an 20-year-old classical and mainstream dancer, choreographer, and CLI-certified teacher in Chicagoland.

Onstage, in both solo and ensemble work, Olivia merges precision, passion, and narrative to honor the choreographer's vision and move audiences. Her performances reflect both discipline and artistry, shaped in part by mentorship from Jessica Brewster, 2025 ACE Awards Finalist.

As a dance teacher and choreographer, Olivia's goal is to foster a deep connection between movement and expression while unearthing creativity and driving work ethic in her students.

She creates pieces that tell compelling stories, evoke emotion, and resonate with audiences while challenging dancers to discover their individuality, depth, and artistic limits.

 

Olivia teaches all levels of jazz, contemporary, Vaganova ballet, and lyrical, sets solo/group competition choreography, and has admin and customer service expertise. Her students and choreography have earned numerous top-ten placements and scholarships at regional and national events.

Olivia is an alumni Pro Assistant to Leandra Groth, as well as an alumni Senior Pro Assistant to Revel Dance Convention. She is represented by The Talent Networks and offers comprehensive dance-related coaching services (Coaching With Olivia Drumm).

She was selected to compete at YAGP Finals four times and was a Top 3 YAGP regional soloist 7 times. She earned numerous first overalls, scholarships, titles, and judges' awards for power, artistry, and technical excellence on the mainstream competition/convention circuit, as well as summer intensive scholarships to Indianapolis Ballet, Miami Ballet, Houston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, and Bolshoi Ballet from the classical world.
 
Olivia has appeared as a guest artist in Pointe Magazine's Video of the month, the Fox Valley Showcase, and the Fox Valley Nutcracker. She was chosen as a Discount Dance Model Search finalist twice and a Pointe People Mentee Program Finalist.

She is a Ballet in the City Ambassador alumni and modeled for Discount Dance, the Chicago Blackhawks, UDMA, and Revolution Dancewear. She represented Allegro Dance Boutique and Honeycut Dancewear.

Olivia spent summers training at Joffrey Ballet, Plainfield Dance Academy, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. She performed in an original piece entitled Shadows and Light choreographed by Zippora Karz (former NYCB soloist and current repetiteur of the Balanchine Trust) which appeared in the Ballet in the City anniversary restaging of the Ashley Bouder Project in Akron, Ohio.

She performed the role of Clara in PDA's Nutcracker, as well as in an original piece created by Maeghan McHale for the 9th Chicago International Dance Forum. Olivia was honored to perform in Talia Favia's Final Chapter at the El Portal Theater in Los Angeles.  She was named as a Senior Pro Reveler with Revel Dance Convention, and most recently appeared in Sarah Burney's "Reconstruct" at the Alex Theatre in LA.

She is thrilled to have worked with costume designers Diane Schaubach of DQ Designs, Caryn Wells of Caryn Wells Designs, Grishko, LVR Designs, and Bahar Carmichael of 2DieFor Costumes, as well as photographers all over the country including Michelle Reid, Ballet Zaida, Sharkcookie, and Jordan Matter. She performed solo works by Jessica Brewster, Leandra Groth, and Nathan Lopez.
